Fic: The Best Laid Plans (Chapter 2-4)
/N: Okay so I feel so much better about this now that I’ve heard from you guys so please keep the reviews coming! Oh and by the way Cedric and Holly are so going to be Dan and Blair’s version of Captain Oats and Princess Sparkle. If you watched The O.C. then you know what I’m talking about. If not ignore me. LOL!
Two: Spotted
Blair said that the first step was for them to be seen in public. The sooner that were seen together the sooner they would end up on Gossip Girl. Though the thought of being on Gossip Girl made Dan somewhat nauseous he knew that it was a necessary evil, especially if anyone was going to actually believe their charade.
However, Dan managed to convince Blair that flaunting around the Upper Eastside wouldn’t be enough. He told her that the only what that anyone would believe them completely would be if Blair dived into his world head first. Which meant one thing Blair didn’t think she could handle; riding the subway.
“Come on,” Dan said as he held his hand out to her, “To make an impact you have to go to extremes.”
She rolled her eyes at him. Blair Waldorf on the subway was beyond extreme it was colossal. It was simply not done. She closed her eyes and thought about Chuck. The hate she felt for him overpowered her disgust for public transportation and she grabbed Dan’s hand allowing him to pull her inside the car.
She followed Dan and watched as he sat down on a seat that looked unsanitary at best. Dan smirked as he watched her shift uncomfortably.
“Aren’t you going to sit down?” He asked.
She crossed her arms beneath her chest pouting as they began to move. This was beneath her. All of it. She didn’t need Cabbage Patch to help her make Chuck jealous. She could find another boy that didn’t have a doll and ride the subway. A boy that knew how to dress like a human and wasn’t from Brooklyn.
“Is it really that bad?” Dan asked.
Blair sniffed the air.
“Do I smell pork?” Blair asked her voice dripping with disdain.
Dan sighed looking at his hands.
“This was all your idea.” Dan pointed out.
“Riding the subway?” Blair hissed, “I think not.”
“No,” Dan replied, “Us pretending to be together. But obviously you can handle it.”
“Excuse me.” Blair said glaring at him.
“Come on Blair,” Dan said shaking his head, “You equate not having money with smelling like pork. You can’t even say Brooklyn without shuddering. This isn’t going to work.”
“You listen to me,” Blair spat, “I am on the subway. I almost got gum on my Jimmy Choos walking next to you on a Brooklyn sidewalk. And I am about to sit through one of your aging rock star father’s concerts, which I am pretty sure will take at least ten points away from my IQ. So don’t you sit there with your stupid little holier than thou attitude and tell me I can’t handle it. I am trying. Okay?”
“Okay.” Dan said smiling.
“And just for that statement,” Blair said grinning, “You’re going to brunch with me tomorrow and you’re wearing a tie.”
Dan side his head falling back.
“Can I at least bring Cedric?” He teased.
Blair laughed.
“Of course,” Blair said grinning, “That is if Holly agrees.”
“I’ll take that as a no.”
The car jerked suddenly sending Blair flying from where she was standing. She let out a small yelp and she landed in Dan’s lap. His arms wrapped around her immediately.
“Are you okay?” He asked quickly.
“Yes,” she said slowly, “I’m fine.”
They stared at each other for a moment and then Blair adjusted herself on his lap her arms looping around his neck. Dan’s eyebrows shot up.
“You’re not going to stand up?” He asked quietly.
“I’ll just get knocked back down when this contraption jerks again,” Blair said coolly, “Besides I’d rather sit here on than on those filthy seats.”
“Fine.” Dan said biting back a laugh.
“Fine.” Blair replied doing the same.
They burst into laughter at the same time Dan wrapping his arms around her waist.
“I’m never riding the subway again,” Blair said angrily, “The next time we go out at least allow me the luxury of a taxi since me sending a car for you is off limits.”
“Fine,” Dan said, “If you eat a hot dog from the vendor across the street from where my dad’s concert is.”
“You can’t be serious.” Blair said making a face.
“I am,” Dan replied, “It’s the only way you’ll be able to experience what it means to live the life of Dan Humphrey.”
Blair gave him and annoyed glare.
“So that’s why you smell like pork,” she said, “An excessive diet of processed meat?”
“That and riding the subway.” Dan replied.
“I knew it!” Blair said snapping her fingers.
Neither of them noticed the flash of the camera phone across the aisle.
x-x-x-x
As much as she hated to admit it by the end of Rufus Humphrey first set Blair was having fun. It all seemed surreal. Like some sort of cosmic joke. That she could be in an old crowded club Downtown with Cabbage Patch and be having more fun than she had ever had in her entire life.
Another thing that bothered her was that she was sure she looked a mess. She had experienced Humphrey idea of dancing; screaming, jumping, and pumping your arms in the air like a mad man. Now she was sweating; something Blair Waldorf didn’t do. Her hair which had been pinned up was now wild and unruly. He designer jeans were rolled up to her ankles and her Jimmy Choo’s were in her hands and she sat on Humphrey’s shoulders trying to get a better view of the stage.
The only one more surprised by the whole thing was Dan. It didn’t make any sense. Blair was cold. Prudish. Calculated. But here she was slumming a rundown club acting wilder than some of the groupie’s that had been following his dad’s band for years. He was half expecting her to throw her panties on to the stage.
“Humphrey,” Blair yelled into Dan’s ear in order to be heard over the music, “I want food.”
“You got it, Waldorf.” He called.
He made his way through the crowd with her still on his back. Everywhere they turned they were bumping into bodies and smelling sweat. On a regular day this would have disgusted Blair but tonight it made everything that much more exhilarating.
When they finally made it out of the club Dan felt as if he could breathe again. Blair climbed off his back slipping into her shoes.
“I think that you could have been a groupie in a previous life.” Dan commented laughing.
“Oh yeah,” she said smiling, “In that case you were a rock star. Your band’s name was Cabbage Patch and Cedric was your drummer.”
Dan laughed.
“And of course Holly and I were at every show,” Blair continued, “It was hard to resist after you named your first album Breakfast At Tiffany’s.”
“Why aren’t you this funny all the time Waldorf?” Dan asked.
“Why aren’t you this clean all the time Humphrey?”
Dan shrugged.
“According to you I’m a Neanderthal.” He said pointedly.
“A caveman is a better word,” Blair said smiling, “But don’t worry I’ll do my best to make you presentable for brunch tomorrow.”
“How kind of you.” Dan said sarcastically.
The stopped at the hot dog vendor across the street who seemed to never leave and Dan bought to hot dogs with everything. Blair looked at hers and felt a bout of nausea in her stomach.
“Come on,” Dan said smiling, “One bite. If you don’t like it then we’ll go wherever you want.”
Blair sighed.
“We’re supposed to have the perfect relationship remember,” Dan pressed, “Based on trust.”
“Okay,” Blair snapped, “Fine. One bite.”
Pinching her nostrils together Blair shut her eyes and took as bite of her hot dog. She chewed slowly wondering what the chances of her getting E. Coli would be.
“Well?” Dan said hesitantly.
Blair swallowed surprised to find that it didn’t taste horrible.
“Not bad.” She said taking another bite.
Dan shook his head and smiled.
“I never thought I’d live to see the day that Blair Waldorf ate a hot dog.” He said laughing.
“Oh shut up.” She said good naturedly.
As they finished eating Blair noticed a photo booth. She beamed. Just what they needed.
“Come on,” she said grabbing Dan’s hand, “Do you have change?”
“For what?” Dan asked confused.
“Pictures.” Blair said pulling him inside the booth.
Inside it was tiny and crammed. Blair sat on Dan’s lap the way she had on the subway.
“Okay,” she said thinking, “It takes four pictures in one reel so we need one of use smiling, two of us just being silly, and one of us kissing.”
“Kissing?” Dan asked raising a brow.
“Of course,” Blair said annoyed, “It’s couple protocol. And don’t you dare complain. I just ate a hot dog for you.”
“You know you liked it.” He said with a smirk.
“Whatever.” Blair said rolling her eyes.
“How many times are we going to have to do this?” Dan asked.
“Three,” Blair said her tone calculated, “We need a set for you, a set for me, and a set for Gossip Girl.”
Dan sighed. It was bad enough that he would have to put these pictures up in his room but they were going to end up on the internet too. He shook his head. This was too much. He wondered faintly if he really wanted Serena back that badly. Then it occurred to him that he hadn’t thought about her all night. She brushed the thought away.
“Alright,” he said putting the change into the machine, “Let’s get this over with.”
“Remember,” Blair chastised, “The kiss can’t look awkward.”
“Alright.”
The first picture they were smiling like idiots. The next two they were making horribly awful faces. The last picture, the on Blair had been dreading. Dan surprised her by grabbing her and covering her mouth with his. His lips were soft. His kiss inviting. Blair latched onto him reveling in the feel of it knowing that the picture would look anything but awkward.
Spotted. The Queen B slumming in Brooklyn. You heard me right Upper East Siders. B was seen riding the subway, eating franks, rocking out, and making out with none other than our resident charity case, Lonely Boy. Don’t believe me? I have the pictures to prove it. Wonder what’ll happen when this news hits the Hamptons. I’m not sure but I don’t think C and S will take this one well.
XOXO,
Gossip Girl
Three: Treading Dangerous Waters
Good Morning Upper East Siders. And what’s Sunday morning without a good brunch? It seems our two love new love birds were seen bonding over Cabbage Patch Kids and coffee. My sources say that B was more interested in nibbling on one Lonely Boy then her French toast. Is it possible that B and D have a connection that even I can’t see? I guess anything is possible if last night Queen B was Brooklyn bound. So raise your Bloody Marys in a toast to Queen B’s new king. Sorry C it looks as if you’ve been replaced. Don’t worry playboy they’ll plenty of women lining up to lick your wounds.
You Know You Love Me,
Gossip Girl
Nathaniel Archibald read and reread the headlines that had been popping up on Gossip Girl for the last two days. He still couldn’t seem to make sense of it all. The whole thing was ridiculous. Dan and Blair? They hated each other. She thought he was beneath her. There was a hint of disdain in her voice every time she said his name. Dan equated Blair with the devil. He thought she was spoiled little bitch. At least he had in the beginning of the summer. What the hell had happened between now and then?
He sucked in a breath. Blair loved Chuck. Dan loved Serena. How and the hell had this happened?
“Hey Nate.”
“Serena,” Nate said slamming his lap top shut, “What’s up?”
The blonde smiled at him and she walked into his room followed by his best friend Chuck Bass. Nate tried to look normal as he stared between the two expectantly. They had been having a good summer. After Serena had chewed Chuck out over what he had done to Blair they had gotten past and made the most of their break. However, while they had been there for each other and Nate had helped them through their breakups it seemed that Dan and Blair had helped each other. How in the hell was he going to tell them?
“We’ve come to invite you to play bridge Nathaniel,” Chuck said glancing around the room, “It should be fun. Especially after my dear step mother consumes her next cocktail.”
“Sure,” Nate said slowly, “But first I have to tell the two of you something.”
Serena and Chuck looked at each other and then back at Nate. It was obvious that they thought it was about his family. If only it was that simple. His family was one thing; Dan Humphrey dating Blair Waldorf was quite another.
“What is it?” Serena asked hesitantly.
Nate sighed. He didn’t want to see the look on her face when she found out. But what else could he do. Besides he was pretty sure that the only Dan and Blair could ever end up together would be if they were in a lot of pain. He couldn’t fault them for that. He knew what it was like to get your heart broken. Besides Serena and Chuck were partially responsible. Even he and Vanessa played a part. If Blair and Dan hadn’t been left to fend for themselves after being ripped to shreds Nate was sure none of this would ever happen.
“You two better sit down.” Nate said softly.
They obeyed immediately ready for a bomb to drop.
“Well?” Chuck said impatiently.
Nate took a deep breath trying to prepare himself for the fireworks that were sure to ensue.
“I have it on good authority,” Nate said, “That Blair and Dan are dating.”
“What?!” Serena exclaimed.
“Is this some sort of sick joke Nathaniel?” Chuck asked, “Because if it is then I’m not laughing.”
“It’s not a joke.” Nate said quickly.
“Dan as in Dan Humphrey,” Serena whined, “As in my Dan?”
Nate shook his head. He should have brought this to Dan and Blair. They should have been the ones telling them not him. Then again it wasn’t as if anyone asked him to tell. He had gone about this all wrong.
“You said you had a source,” Chuck said quickly, “What source Nathaniel?”
He sighed. There he had definitely gone about this the wrong way. But considering he was still in shock how could he think clear enough to go about it in the right way.
“Gossip Girl.” Nate answered.
“I want to see.” Serena said quickly.
“Serena,” Nate said in protest, “I don’t think that you-”
“I want to see.” Serena said more firmly.
“Okay,” Nate said opening up his laptop, “Fine.”
He pulled up the screen showing him the pictures of Dan and Blair on the subway and at the concert in Brooklyn. He then put up pictures that were said to be taken that very morning of them eating brunch. He saw Chuck’s fists clench as he eyed the ones of them kissing.
“Let’s not jump to conclusion,” Nate said quickly trying to keep the peace, “You know Blair. She’s probably just pulling some stunt to get back at Chuck. I mean all of you were hurt pretty badly and you know how she gets when she’s hurt and alone.”
“And Dan is the type of guy that would comfort her even if he hated her.” Serena said almost bitterly.
“Exactly,” Nate nodded, “They’re probably just friends, if that.”
“I’m going to kill him.” Chuck said vehemently.
“At least wait until we know what’s going on for sure.” Nate said seriously.
“I don’t care,” Chuck growled, “He’s dead.”
“Chuck,” Serena said playing her hand on his arm, “Please. Just stay calm okay. We have to figure out a way we can find out what’s really going on.”
“There’s only one way we can.” Nate said.
“What?” Serena and Chuck asked in unison.
“We go back to New York.” Nate sighed.
“Okay,” Serena said, “Come on. Let’s pack.”
Nate waited until they left the room and then pulled out his cell phone. Scrolling through his contacts quickly he found the number he was looking for and then hit send.
“Hello,” he said into the receiver, “Jenny. It’s me Nate. Look I know you’re busy with your internship with Eleanor but we have problems.”
“What’s up?” Jenny asked immediately concerned.
He shook off the smile that always came upon hearing her tiny voice and continued.
“You wouldn’t have happened to look at Gossip Girl recently would you?” He asked.
“No,” Jenny said confused, “Why?”
“Are you near a computer?” Nate asked quickly.
“Yeah.” Jenny answered.
“Get on,” Nate said, “Quick.”
“Hold on.” Jenny mumbled.
Nate waited for a beat and then suddenly he heard.
“Oh my God.”
“I know.” He sighed.
“Did I just walk into The Twilight Zone?” Jenny asked.
Nate laughed.
“You and me both,” he said shaking his head, “Listen Chuck, Serena, and I are on our way back. I’m going to need your help running damage control.”
“I’ll warn Dan and Blair before you even get to the station.” She said not skipping a beat.
“Thanks.” Nate smiled.
“You’re welcome,” Jenny said quickly, “Listen I have some errands to run so I have to go before Eleanor fires me.”
“Okay,” Nate said laughing, “And Jenny. It was good talking to you.”
“You too,” Jenny breathed, “Bye.”
Nate shut his phone imagining the smile that he could hear in her voice.
x-x-x-x
“How do you think we should tell Chuck and Serena?” Blair asked.
She was lying on her stomach on Dan’s bed which she had found surprisingly comfortable. Dan sat across the room typing furiously on his computer. He said he hadn’t been able to write for weeks. He said that she was his new muse. She had told him that he was mistaking her for Holly though a part of her was flattered. She wanted to kiss him and run her fingers through his hair. But they only did those things in public where everyone could see. It was a part of the plan.
She felt disgusted with herself just thinking about her vile urges. It made no sense. It was Humphrey after all. Even if did turn out to be fun, caring, and have magic lips.
“It’s a little late to think about telling them,” Dan said snapping her out of her reverie, “I mean it’s all over Gossip Girl I’m sure they know by now.”
“Then why haven’t we gotten some sort of reaction.” Blair whined.
“Be patient,” he said turning to her smiling, “It’ll happen. In the mean time I think our friends should be introduced.”
Jenny walked up to Dan’s door and cracked it slowly. She came in just in time to see Dan and Blair pick up their Cabbage Patch Kids.
“Cedric,” Dan said smiling, “I would like you to meet Holly Golightly.”
Blair laughed as Dan made Cedric take a bow. She made Holly turn away crossing her arms in front of her.
“He’s been rejected then?” Dan asked.
“Isn’t that obvious.” Blair asked rolling her eyes.
“Cedric thrives on rejection,” Dan said smirking, “He likes the chase.”
“Does he now?” Blair asked flirtatiously.
“And so do I.” Dan said edging closer.
Jenny cleared her throat laughing. The two looked at her surprised and immediately edged away from each other guiltily.
“I don’t mean to interrupt.” Jenny said slowly, “But I just talked to Nate and he, Chuck, and Serena are on their way back. And it seems that the later of the two aren’t very happy.”
Blair looked at Dan giving him a wicked smirk.
“Well, well, well,” she chided, “Let the games begin.”
Spotted. C, N, and S with sullen expressions and designer suitcases leaving the Hamptons. I guess someone got wind of Queen B’s new boy toy. Watch out Lonely Boy, you may have bitten off more than you can chew.
XOXO,
Gossip Girl
Four: Flinging Popcorn and Flying Fists
Dan Humphrey was completely on edge. He wasn’t ready for this. He wasn’t sure that he and Blair could keep up the façade while Chuck and Serena were actually present. In public when their only audience was Gossip Girl and a few familiar faces from school this went fine. Even in private their understanding seemed to keep them from going at each other’s throats. But their breakups were still pretty fresh and he wasn’t sure he could look at Blair with the love he had once felt for Serena was in the room.
“Jesus Humphrey,” Blair said placing her hands on his shoulders, “You look like someone just stuffed Cedric’s head down the garbage disposal.”
Dan snapped back to the present immediately glaring at her in disgust.
“Don’t even joke like that,” Dan said seriously, “Or Holly’s going out the window.”
“Ha, ha,” Blair said smugly, “If you touch Holly that cute little ass of yours is mine.”
“My ass is already yours Waldorf.” Dan said with a wink.
Blair gave him a pointed look before smacking him on the butt.
“God you two are nauseating,” Jenny teased, “Please don’t do that when Chuck and Serena get here. I get a little squeamish at the sight of blood.”
Blair rolled her eyes.
“Please,” she said waving her hand, “It isn’t nearly that serious Little J.”
Jenny shrugged.
“From the way Nate sounded over the phone,” she chirped, “I’m inclined to think it is.”
Blair became dazed and dreamy eyed for a moment picturing Dan and Chuck fighting over her. Her dreams were interrupted by a knock on the door.
“Okay Humphrey,” Blair said staring meaningfully at Dan, “Try to act like you adore me.”
Dan sighed.
“I’m really not sure if I’m that good of an actor.” He said sadly.
“Humphrey,” Blair hissed momentarily forgetting their guests, “I suggest you run.”
Dan darted for his room laughing while Jenny watched Blair run after him in disbelief. It was amazing how they could be so perfect for each other and have no idea.
“I’ll get the door.” Jenny called to no one in particular.
Jenny took a deep breath and then opened the door to a very pissed Chuck, a very distraught Serena, and a smiling Nate.
“Hey guys,” Jenny said choosing to play dumb, “What’s going on? I thought you were in the Hamptons.”
“We cut our trip a little short,” Serena said sweetly, “Is Dan here?”
Before they heard a yelp come from Dan’s bedroom. They all turned to Jenny in surprise who simply shrugged.
“Humphrey,” Blair screamed, “You are so dead.”
Again the three turned to Jenny.
“She says that a lot when they’re together.” Jenny said shaking her head.
Serena cringed openly and the word together and Chuck focused on the sentiment “a lot”.
“You shouldn’t be so violent in from of the kids.” Dan screamed laughing.
“Kids?” Nate asked his eyebrows raised.
Jenny giggled.
“Holly and Cedric.” She said now laughing.
“Who?” Chuck asked.
“I know Holly is Blair’s Cabbage Patch Kid,” Nate said confused, “But who’s Cedric.”
“Dan’s Cabbage Patch Kid.” Serena said slowly.
“Oh,” Nate said laughing, “Cabbage Patch. I get it.”
Serena and Chuck glared at him and his laughter immediately stopped.
“Um,” Jenny said awkwardly, “I guess you guys can come in.”
That was all the invitation Chuck needed he pushed past Jenny knocking her into Nate who caught her giving her an apologetic look. Serena followed as they walked into the direction of Dan’s room.
“We better get in there.” Jenny said worriedly.
“Right.” Nate said momentarily distracted with her in his arms.
When they found Blair beating Dan over the head with a pillow. Neither of them noticed as they enter.
“Say it!” Blair screamed.
“Never!” Dan yelled back.
Chuck looked from them to Jenny obviously disgusted.
“Please tell me they aren’t serious.” He sighed.
“Sadly,” Jenny said grinning, “They are. You should have seen them at dad’s concert. It was legendary.”
“Blair went to Rufus’ concert?” Serena asked almost hurt.
“Yeah,” Jenny said hesitantly, “But you didn’t miss much.”
“I heard she ate a hot dog.” Nate said shaking his head.
“What?” Chuck and Serena said in unison.
Jenny elbowed him slightly as they continued to watch Blair and Dan make complete fools of themselves.
“Say it!” Blair hissed as she gave Dan another wack.
“Ouch,” Dan laughed, “Fine.”
“Here it comes.” Jenny said shaking her head.
“I Dan Humphrey,” Dan said with mock sincerity, “Complete adore Blair Waldorf and would willingly and graciously kiss the ground at her feet. Are you happy?”
“Momentarily.” Blair said laughing.
“I can’t believe you would assault me like that in front of Cedric,” Dan said shaking his head, “He really didn’t need to see a blow like that to my man hood.”
“At least you know you weren’t embarrassed in front of Holly,” Blair chimed, “She never saw you as a man anyway.”
Dan picked up the pillow she had discarded and threw it at her head.
“Hey!” Blair yelped.
Jenny cleared her throat loudly knowing she had to stop them before they were rolling around on the bed hitting each other with pillows again.
“I know,” Blair said standing up but not looking in Jenny’s direction and therefore not seeing the others, “We’re nauseating.”
“That you are.” Chuck spat his voice heavy with malice.
Blair and Dan looked up surprised. Blair bit her lip nervously as she adjusted her clothes. She wanted them to see her and Dan acting like the perfect couple not like two year olds hitting each other with pillows. Little did she know they had looked like the perfect couple doing just that.
“Uh,” Dan said awkwardly, “Hi. How was the Hamptons?”
“Great,” Nate said trying to kill the tension, “Sunny.”
“Great.” Dan said nodding.
“So,” Blair said putting her hands together, “Are you here to watch the movie.”
“What movie?” Nate asked.
“Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” Dan said slowly, “Cedric’s never seen it and he wants to impress Holly Golightly so…well you know.”
Jenny tried not to giggle as Chuck’s fist clenched in anger.
“You look a little angry there Chuck,” Dan coughed, “Do you want to maybe hold Cedric? He brings peace to all who knows him.”
Jenny did laugh then and Nate soon followed. The two ere doubled over clutching their sides until Serena and Chuck shot them looks.
“It was just a suggestion.” Dan said shrugging.
“Dan,” Blair said touching his shoulder almost lovingly, “Stop talking sweetie.”
“Alright.” Dan said nodding.
“Okay,” Blair said turning toward Chuck and Serena, “Here’s the situation. Humphrey and I are a couple. You can do with that what you like. In the mean time Little J and I will be in the kitchen making popcorn.”
“Do you really expect up to buy in to this bullshit?” Chuck spat.
Blair glared at him.
“I don’t care Charles,” she said coolly, “Because whether you but into or not his cute little ass is mine.”
Blair emphasized the point by giving Dan’s butt a nice swat.
“And frankly,” she continued, “That’s all that matters.”
Grabbing Jenny’s arm Blair strutted toward the kitchen biting back a smile as Nate held Chuck back.
x-x-x-x
They all sat in the Humphrey living room watching the movie in an awkward silence. Cedric and Holly said on the coffee table facing the television as a glaring reminder that Blair Waldorf was really the proud owner of Dan Humphrey’s cute little ass. The whole thing made Serena sick.
She glared at Blair as munched on her popcorn. Then suddenly as she saw Blair’s head fall on Dan’s shoulder she had, had enough.
“I can’t believe you would so this,” Serena shouted standing, “Do you hate me that much?”
Blair stood facing her with her arms crossed over her chest.
“Everything isn’t about you Serena,” she hissed, “Humphrey and I happen to like each other. So deal with it.”
“Well,” Serena said grabbing a hand full of popcorn, “Why don’t you deal with this?”
Serena threw the popcorn into Blair’s face and soon Blair had scooped up her own handful doing the same.
“Wait a minute,” Dan said standing, “Just hold on a second and we can talk this out.”
Chuck walked across the room tapping Dan on the shoulder.
“Not so fast Humphrey,” Chuck said as Dan turned around, “You have to deal with me first.”
Dan’s response was to rear back and punch Chuck in the eye. He watched with satisfaction as Chuck hit the ground.
“God I missed doing that.” Dan said smiling.
Jenny and Nate looked on distressed neither knowing what to do. Then suddenly the door opened and everyone froze.
“What the hell is going on here?” Rufus Humphrey said shocked.
No one seemed to have an answer.
Spotted. C walking through Manhattan nursing a black eye and purchasing a pair of Bano shades. My sources say that D was the culprit. It seems B has finally found a man to defend her honor. Sorry S it looks like Lonely Boy is a goner.
